Dr. Lori Boland
DVM
Ever since she was a small child, Dr. Lori Boland knew that her life’s calling was to work with animals. She grew up in rural South Carolina in a small farming community. While attending undergraduate school, she started working part-time for a local veterinarian and immediately knew that this would be her life’s work. After receiving her Bachelor of Science degree from the College of Charleston, Dr. Boland’s passion led her abroad where she received her veterinary degree from the University of London, Royal Veterinary College in 2001. Returning stateside, she pursued and completed an internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at the Veterinary Referral Centre, Little Falls, NJ. She then traveled west to Colorado to enter private practice. While in Boulder Colorado, she developed a passion for an outdoor lifestyle, which included hiking, rock climbing, and skiing. Dr. Boland then headed further west and spent the next 11 years in Las Vegas, Nevada, expanding her skill set and range of experience, and even completed 7 triathlons.
Dr. Boland’s top priority is providing high-quality, compassionate veterinary medical care for all of her clients and patients. She is a firm believer in preventative care and quality of life. Dr. Boland’s keen understanding of the profound and lasting bond between pets and their owners is boundless. Her expertise lies in Internal Medicine, Soft Tissue Surgery, and Dentistry.
Dr. Boland and her husband, Rick, are happy to have relocated to Myrtle Beach to be closer to family and have fallen in love with beach life. When not working, she can be found enjoying both road and mountain biking, swimming, yoga, music, practicing the bass guitar, and of course, the beach!
